When going through this process, if you are already connected to a Google account on your browser, Google will automatically use that account for the access and authorization process. If said Google account is not the account related to your Google My Business page, you must log out of the account and log in using the correct account. If you are not connected to ANY Google account at the time of going through this process, it will take you to the Google login page, where you should log in using the account related to your business.
That said, let’s get to it. Here’s one way to connect the GMB account:
Go to Reviews, under Digital Reputation, and you will see the following screen. Click on the “Connect Now” button.
And, here’s the other way:
Go to Project Setting > Google My Business
Then, you will see the screen below. Click on the Google My Business button.
Either way you connect will take you to the same following steps.
In the authorization screen, click on the blue “Allow” button.
It will get you back to your dashboard and ask you to choose the location for your business.
Select the right location and click the “Set My Business Location” button.
That’s it. You should be connected.
Reminder: Your Google My Business listing and your Google+ page are different things and must be linked to your dashboard separately. Likewise, creating a Google My Business listing does not automatically create a Google+ page or vice versa, so remember to create both to boost your ratings!
